Veteran Training Weekend & FFW Reunion, Oct 17–19. Clinic at Marx Fencing Academy, free to current US World Team members. Reunion dinner at Season to Taste honoring Bill Walker.
Join us October 17–19 for a weekend of veteran fencing and community reconnection. The event includes a Veteran Fencing Training Clinic FOIL/EPEE and the Fencing & Fine Wine Reunion Dinner, honoring Bill Walker and the friendships built through years of fencing.
The clinic will take place at Marx Fencing Academy in Acton, MA and is open to all veteran fencers. Over the course of the weekend, fencers will rotate through structured drills, footwork, and open bouting. Instruction and feedback will be available throughout, with opportunities to fence a wide range of opponents and revisit core technical skills in a supportive, competitive environment. The clinic is free to current U.S. Veteran World Team members.
The weekend begins Friday evening with open bouting from 6:00–8:00 p.m., followed by an informal wine reception. Training continues Saturday and Sunday 10:00am - 3:00pm.
On Saturday evening (8:00pm), we will gather for a private dinner at Season to Taste in Cambridge, owned by fellow fencer Robert Harris. The prix fixe menu, developed by Robert, Bill and Denise Walker, will feature seasonal ingredients and wine pairings. This dinner is a time to reconnect and celebrate the friendships built through fencing. The cost is $100 per person, which includes the three-course meal, wine, tax, and gratuity.
