Come spend 10 days in beautiful Bordeaux, named Best European Tourist Destination in 2015 and 2016! Join our international fencing community for a high quality & fun camp. We will fence under old stone vaults downtown, during the glory days of summer in South West France. --PROGRAM------------------------------------------------ The camp will begin at 2pm Aug 7th and will finish at 5pm on Aug 16th with the “Challenge International de Bordeaux”. The camp is open to competitors of all ages starting with cadet. It is run in both English and French. The camp’s activities include two day trips and two evening gatherings 9:30 am - 12:30 pm MORNING WORKSHOPS - video analysis - tactical footwork and exercises - fencing drills - theme bouting - sport psychology 2:30 pm - 6 pm AFTERNOON SESSIONS - organized bouting - critical debriefings and individual feedback 6:30 am - 8:30 pm EVENING SESSIONS - organized bouting open to junior and senior regional competitors --COACHING STAFF----------------------------------------- SEBASTIEN DOS SANTOS - CAMP DIRECTOR Director of epee for the USA 4 time Olympic coach SEBASTIEN BARROIS Director of epee for France 2016 – 2019 France Cadet and junior national coach 2005 – 2016 FRANCO CERRUTI (TBC) Director of epee for Switzerland FREDERIC FENOUL Director of epee for Belgium. JUSTIN TAUSIG Dr. in Sport & Performance Psychology Former member of the epee USA national team. --CAMP LOCATION------------------------------------------ Bordeaux Etudiants Club 53 rue Pauline Kergomard, 33000 Bordeaux, France http://www.bec-escrime.fr Airport: BOD --FEE---------------------------------------------------- 485€ Fee includes: 10 days of camp, lunchtime meals and snacks, all activities, and the entry fee for the “2020 Challenge International de Bordeaux" august 16th. 375€ For the top 8 seniors, top 4 juniors and top 2 cadets on National ranking. 25€ Optional 30 minutes individual lessons are available after the camp: fencing lesson / boxing lesson / sport psychology session / individualized strength and conditioning session (up to 4 person) / massage therapist session / osteopathic session --LODGING------------------------------------------------ HOTEL VICTORIA 300 meters from the training center. Single or twin rooms – kitchenette and Wi-Fi. HOTEL MERCURE 20 minutes by tram from the training center. Nice standing hotel.
