The Gold Coast Florida Division will host the OFFICIAL USAF REFEREE SEMINAR AND PRACTICAL EXAMS with Jeff Bukantz Sunday June 1st, 2025 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the University of Miami
THE GOLD COAST FLORIDA DIVISION IS HOSTING AN OFFICIAL USFA REFEREE SEMINAR AND PRACTICAL EXAMS WITH JEFF BUKANTZ
Cost: $75 for the seminar as per the Referees Commission & $10 per practical exam per weapon
All referees, parents, coaches, and fencers are welcome to make the Seminar
About:
· Jeff Bukantz is one of our country’s most experienced and successful referees
· Refereed his first NCAA gold medal foil bout in 1978, at the age of 21
· Refereed his first USFA National Championship gold medal foil bout in 1980, at the age of 23
· Represented the United States at the World Championship, the World University Games, the Pan American Games, and the World Maccabiah Games
· Refereed at the Olympic Games in 1984 & 1996
· Refereed at 7 Junior, Senior, and Veteran World Championships
· Refereed the finals of the Olympic Games in Men’s Foil in 1996
· Chair of the Fencing Officials Commission from 2002-2004
