Expand your skills in this intensive and fun 4-day foil camp with Darius Wei and the rest of the RTF coaching staff!
Improve your skills and prepare for the second half of the competition season with the Research Triangle Fencing winter camp.
At RTF, Darius Wei (foil) and Jacek Huchwajda (sabre) have crafted an environment dedicated to constant improvement. Whether you're a member of the RTF family or a guest, you'll learn useful skills in a fun, welcoming community.
New this year: We love both weapons training together, but have missed camp activities where a small group can benefit from the whole gym. Therefore, we're running camp in 3-phases: Dec 26-27 is sabre only, Dec 28-29 is both weapons, and Dec 30-31 is foil only.
Our camp works on developing the whole fencer, and you'll find:
- Technique : What movements are key to the modern game?
- Tactics : When and where do you make decisions?
- Strategy : How do you evolve a fencing bout as an athlete?
- Sports Performance : Developing strength, speed, endurance, and coordination gives you more tools to win bouts.
- Teamwork & Communication : While fencing is an individual sport, training takes a team!
In addition, we can discuss special topics: Refereeing, Armory, Sport Psychology, Nutrition, and Injury Prevention.

Cost: $400 ($20 discount for cash/check payment). You may sign up for partial camp, pro-rated at $110/day.
Times: Camp runs from 9a - 4p daily, with a lunch break from 12-1:30.
