Join expert Armorer, Dennis Crumpler, for a deep dive into all things fencing equipment related. Dennis is a longtime national level armorer, and in addition to working countless national events, has also supported the championship NCAA Notre Dame team and the NC Fencing community. Dennis is known for being a patient and skilled instructor with a wealth of knowledge to share.
He will help you learn, and build confidence to maintain and repair your fencing equipment. This clinic is open to all athletes, parents, coaches, and future aspiring fencing armorers. Clinic cost is $35 per participant, and registration is confirmed when you pre-pay through askfred.net
Clinic Schedule:
10am until 12:30pm - Morning session focusing primarily on the weapon circuits, diagnostic & repair, and competition setup.
12:30-1:30pm - Lunch break! Participants can bring their own lunch, or head to one of the many local establishments.
1:30-3:00pm - Afternoon session will address body cord repair, lame testing, and independant time to work on your gear and have Dennis help.
What do I need to participate?
- Curiosity and drive to learn how to fix fencing equipment
- A set of small micro screwdrivers, and a multi-meter if you have one ( some loaner tools will be available)
- Your fencing, or fencer's gear, to examine and repair! Don't have gear? The club has plenty!
- A lunch if you want to eat in.
