Join us for a full-day referee seminar led by Mark Stasinos, one of the most respected figures in U.S. fencing. Mark is nationally rated in all three weapons (foil, epee, and sabre), serves as a Referee Assigner at National Championships, and has been Head Referee for the NCAA Fencing Championships. He is also a Master Coach with decades of experience developing both referees and athletes.

This seminar is a comprehensive prep course for the USA Fencing referee exam and is open to anyone interested in becoming a certified referee or deepening their understanding of the rules and calls across all weapons.

What You’ll Learn:

1. Refereeing fundamentals for foil, epee, and sabre
2. Rule interpretations, bout management, and penalty application
3. Real-life examples and analysis
4. Tips for exam success and pathways to further certification

Schedule:

1. 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
2. Includes a 45-minute lunch break and two 15-minute rest breaks
3. Handouts will be provided (via email or printed copies upon request)

1. A notebook and something to write with
2. Your email (if you prefer digital materials)
3. A desire to learn and engage
