Spring Break Epee Camp with Yale Head Coach Marat Israelian

For the third year, Yale University Head Fencing Coach Mara Israelian returns to Davis for our Spring Break epee camp. Number of fencers is limited to 28.

Coach Marat was named Yale's Head Fencing Coach in 2021 and has served as Yale's assistant fencing coach since the start of the 2019 season. In his first season at Yale, coach Marat helped both the men's and women's programs earn top-10 national rankings while mentoring seven fencers who earned All-America recognition. Coach Marat has also coached numerous national team fencers who medaled at world cups.

As the captain of the fencing team at St. John's University, Coach Marat won the NCAA epee championship in 2010 and 2011. He helped the team to three top-four finishes at the NCAA Fencing Championships. Additionally, Coach Marat was a European Championship finalist in 2005 and ranked third overall in the junior world rankings in 2003 and 2004.

This camp is designed for youth/cadet/junior fencers post March NAC to review, analyze, and acquire new skills on technique, tactics, mental conditioning, and bout management.
