Binghamton University "Romance on the Riposte II"

Binghamton University's second team tournament. $20+$15/additional weapon (discount for BUFC due payers). Registration deadline: 2/18/2026. Medals to the top team of each weapon. TEAMS OF 3 or 4
HOW TO REGISTER:
For some reason, the newest Askfred version makes registering for team events weird. Follow these steps to register yourself or a team:
- Press the register button from the main askfred page
- Press the manage registration button
- Click the event or events you wish to register for. Note that if you are registering a whole team, it will register them for every event you select. If you wish to have different members in different teams, you will need to go through this process for each unique team.
- Fill out the information for your team. At mininum fill out the team name and the names of fencers you wish to register for that team (the required words are not accurate and can be ignored). As a reminder, if you are registering only 1 or 2 fencers, put your team name as "NEED MORE," and we will combine you with others who are also looking for more.
- Press the save this team button
- To confirm your registration, go to the "Who is Coming" screen and ensure you see your team in the pending status.

Join Binghamton University Fencing Club this month for our second team event at the "Binghamton University 'Romance on the Riposte II.'"
Format:
The tournament will consist of a round of separated pools to determine placement, and then a tableau of 45 touch rally bouts determined by pools.
Medals and Prizes:
Medals and prizes will be awarded to the top team in each weapon and will be awarded during an award ceremony at the end of each weapon. This is a NON-sanctioned event.
ONLY 3 MEDALS will be awarded per team, regardless of team size.
Fees and Pricing:
$20 per person for the first blade and $15 for each additional blade. Payment is cash or venmo only.
Teams of four will be discounted $5 per person for the corresponding weapon.
Deadlines:
All registrations close on 2/18/2026, and no late entries will be allowed. Walk-ins are not accepted; registration must be done before the tournament. There is a restriction to 6 teams per weapon, so please register ASAP to save a spot.

Event on 2/21/2026
TEAMS OF 3 or 4 ONLY, everyone will fence in pools, and substitutions will be allowed following standard USA Fencing rules during relay matches.
IMPORTANT REGISTRATION NOTES FOR INDIVIDUAL FENCERS:
If you register with a team name of "Need More" (or something related), we will do our best to fill your team with other fencers. We will use the time between registration closing on 2/18/2026 and the event on 2/21/2024 to create these teams and message you via askFRED if we can fit you in. Registration will not show up until a team is created; we will update you when this happens.
MAKE SURE TO PUT YOUR NAME OR NAMES DOWN. I cannot add your team if there are no names attached to the registration.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ALL FENCERS:
If we do not have enough teams to compete in any weapon, we will run the event as an individual event instead. This information will be messaged to all registered fencers a few days before the tournament.
