These qualifiers are the local path for fencers to qualify for the Junior Olympics, scheduled for January, 2026. If three or less register for any event, fees will be refunded. Note closing date.

The Junior Olympics will be held January 9-12, in Kansas City, Missouri. Events will include Junior, Cadet, and Junior team competitions. To qualify for the Junior Olympics, fencers must either have at least 110 regional points, any number of national points, or finish either in the top three at our qualifying tournament, or the top 25% (depending which number is higher).

We will run these events in the order listed. Note that often there are only a few fencers -- and sometimes none at all -- in some of the listed events, so the day should go quickly. Savage Fencing club has four electric strips available for this tournament, and a fifth, full-size strip that we will use for the semi-finals and finals of each tournament.

As noted in the short description, registration for these events closes a week in advance. If there are three or less competitors in any individual tournament, all three will automatically qualify, and if they have paid, their fees will be refunded. If possible, we will inform fencers of this before they make the trip to Savage Fencing Club.

For additional information, visit the USA Fencing website.

If you are using Google Maps to get to Savage Fencing Club, or some other navigation system, the Mill's address is 8600 Foundry Street, Savage, 20763.

When you arrive, you will see a rather small parking lot on your left, down a decline.  You will also see a sign directing you to the Big Lot.  Follow that sign (going the full length of Foundry Street) to the Big Lot, and then park as close as you can to the Mill.  Once you enter the building, you will see (or hear) our club, directly downstairs and on your right.
