Relevant Information from the Athletes Packet:
"2.6.3 Determination of Divisional Qualifiers
Division qualifiers are determined by the qualifying information for various event types. For more information, see Table 2.6.3.1"
"1.2 DIVISION AFFILIATION
A member can declare a division affiliation based on their residence, location of the school that member is attending or location of the primary club that the member will represent in USA Fencing competitions. Each fencing season, a member must declare the division affiliation for that membership year. That division is the one from which the fencer must qualify to the USA Fencing National
Championships. The member may request a change in division if they move to a new geographic location (permanent residence or school) or select a primary club which is located in a different division, and notifies the National Office in writing of the new address and division change request."
"2.6 GENERAL QUALIFYING INFORMATION
2.6.1 Division Qualifiers
Division qualifiers are competitions in which a specified number of fencers, based on their results, qualify to the USA Fencing National Championships and the Junior Olympic Championships.
Division qualifiers are restricted to members of the division for the following events: Y14, Div II and Div III (USA Fencing National Championships) and Cadet and Junior (JOs). Veteran fencers can qualify for USA Fencing National Championships via Di- vision II or Division III division qualifiers. Division qualifying tournaments cannot be mixed gender competitions. Fencers who have earned national points are the only athletes who will be skipped over in the results to determine qualifying athletes. Athletes who have already qualified via a regional path will not be skipped over.
Fencers must be U.S. citizens or Permanent Res- idents. Athletes that have represented another country in the last three years at FIE-level compe- titions (Veteran/Senior/Junior and those athletes that represented another country in the Cadet World Championships) are not eligible to compete in a National Championship, unless the athlete has been officially approved by the FIE to represent the USA. A foreign fencer who is in the United States on a visa is NOT eligible to fence in any National Championships, individual or team, or associated division qualifying competitions."

As this is a qualifying event, we cannot estimate the number of fencers that will register at the door. In the event of larger than anticipated numbers we thank you in advance for your patience.
From USA Fencing:
We are reaching out to provide clarification regarding division qualifier competitions for the 2026 Junior Olympic Championships, specifically those scheduled after the regular entry fee deadline.
For division qualifiers held after the regular entry fee deadline of November 5, 2025 but before the qualification deadline of December 10, 2025, fencers who intend to attempt qualification through these competitions should register prior to the regular entry fee deadline to take advantage of standard pricing.
To ensure fairness and transparency in light of the shift in the Junior Olympics dates for this season, if a fencer fails to qualify at their respective division qualifier, provided it is held after the regular fee entry deadline and before the qualification deadline the following will be applicable:
- If registered for only one event, the event fee, the tournament, and administrative fees will be refunded. In the event this is applicable for a given athlete, they should email nationalevents@usafencing.org to request a full refund.
 - If registered and qualified for other events, only the event fee for the non-qualified event will be refunded.

Please see below for the full set of refund policies, which may be shared with athletes in your division. We ask that these policies, or at least the refund policy for those who fail to qualify, also be posted on the applicable registration pages for your qualifier as well, to help ensure clear communication.
For Championship tournaments, the online system generates separate emails for each event once entry is approved. It is the fencer’s responsibility to verify that the Championship events registered for have been officially approved by the National Office. Championship eligibility confirmation from clubs, divisions, regional tournament organizers are not considered official until verified by USA Fencing. A refund of the full Event fee will be processed by the National Office for any events where an athlete fails to qualify. Tournament fees and Admin fees are considered nonrefundable. Event fee refunds are processed 4-6 weeks after the tournament. There are no event fee refunds after the posted deadline for the tournament.
Refund Policy Exception – Qualification-Dependent Events
If a qualifying competition takes place after the regular fee entry deadline but before the qualification deadline and an athlete does not qualify:
- Single-Event Registration: If registered for only one event, the event fee, the tournament and administrative fees will be refunded. In the event this is applicable for a given athlete, they should email nationalevents@usafencing.org to request a full refund.
 - Multiple-Event Registration: If registered and qualified for other events, only the event fee for the non-qualified event will be refunded.

Withdrawal Refund Policy
For a refund of 50% of the event fee(s), all withdrawals must be received by the National Office by the posted withdrawal deadline. Registration and processing fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable. To withdraw from a national tournament, email withdrawals@usafencing.org with the athlete/team name, member number, and events from which you are withdrawing. No event fee refunds will be given for withdrawals after the posted withdrawal deadline. To withdraw from a local or regional tournament, please email the listed tournament organizer. Contact information is located on their registration page. Regional withdrawal and refund policies may vary from tournament to tournament but can not be more stringent than the national policy listed above.
Thank you for helping us to ensure athletes are fully informed as they prepare for the 2026 Junior Olympic Championships. Please reach out to the National Office if you have any questions.
If you have already held and/or submitted your results you may disregard this email
