FAP Practice Tournament (unsanctioned)

INTRO TO COMPETITION EVENT for athletes & parents WHEN: 3:00 Saturday, April 30 (arrive no later than 2:30 to warm up, stretch, and have some practice bouts. Students may take class at 1:30 and then roll into the event). WHERE: Fencing Academy of Philadelphia Central; 3851 Warren Avenue, Philadelphia 19104 WHO MAY COMPETE: fencers age 10 to 14 who are in whites and have been competing for less than one year BRING: FENCER: practice weapon (dry, not electric), mask, glove, plastron, jacket, knickers, chest plate (required for girls; optional for boys), water bottle, more water and/or sports drink, substantial lunch, abundant snacks that can be eaten with one hand. SUPPORTING ADULT: phone and optional laptop to take notes and get help setting up AskFred profile. COST: $40. Usually you should expect to pay cash in person at local events, but for this in-house tournament we can charge you via Pike13. PREREQUISITES: Students should be dressing in whites and using at least a practice weapon. Please confirm to your coach that you plan to compete.
