The SoCal Parafencing League will be hosting a 3-Weapon Para Open at the Mary Rafanelli RYC/RJCC on January 17th, 18th, & 19th. This event will be sanctioned and suitable for all levels of experience.
The SoCal Parafencing League will be hosting a 3-Weapon Para Open event at the Mary Rafanelli RYC/RJCC on January 17th, 18th, and 19th. This sanctioned event is suitable for all experience levels.
The mission of the SoCal Parafencing League is to expand the awareness and presence of parafencing in Southern California. This event will be the first of three. Points will be awarded to each competitor based on final placement across all three events. An Overall Champion Trophy will be presented at the end of the season.
Spectators are welcome! This will be a great opportunity to invite friends and family to experience Parafencing at a large Regional fencing competition!
Codes of Conduct: The organizer of this event reserves the right to ask any fencer, coach, or spectator to leave the venue if they are not abiding by the Codes of Conduct adopted by USA Fencing (https://www.usafencing.org/fencesafe-codes-of-conduct).

Schedule: Foil - Saturday 1/17, Epee - Sunday 1/18, Sabre - Monday 1/19. Check-in closes each day at 11am.
Membership: USA Fencing 'Competitive' membership is required.
Equipment: All proper competition clothing and fencing equipment will be required.
Format: 1 round of pools followed by direct elimination.
Para Equipment: Wheelchair frames, scoring machines, and Jed's chairs will be provided by the Burbank Parafencing Center.
Awards: Medals for the Top 4 places will be donated by the Amy M. Fortune Foundation.
