EVENT INFORMATION
SWIFA I San Marcos is being held at Texas State University.
Venue opens at 8 AM.
Check-in closes at and fencing begins as early as 9 AM.
Events will be concluded no later than 8 PM.
SWIFA team events are fenced in the traditional squads of 3-4 fencers. Although AskFRED sometimes will not display line-ups accurately, squads should come organized with an A-B-C-Alt line-up for the fencers attending.
Events will consist of two rounds: first, a pool of 4-7 squads to decide seeding for the second round, direct elimination bracket. In the pool stage, only three bouts per encounter will occur. A vs. A, B vs. B, and C vs. C. The school to win at least 2/3 bouts in an encounter wins that encounter. In the DE table, squads will rotate fencers through until one squad wins 5 bouts in an encounter, with a maximum of 9 bouts fenced, to advance.
