Miami University Gene Krebs Memorial Open

Welcome to the third annual Gene Krebs Memorial Open at Miami University!

USFA competitive/access membership is required.

Events:

Mixed Foil Open - 36 fencer cap

Mixed Epee Open - 36 fencer cap

Mixed Sabre Open - 36 fencer cap

Notice: The rules, policies, and procedures of USA Fencing will govern the conduct of the competition. Participants, tournament staff, and all individuals covered under the terms of USA Fencing's Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies, SafeSport Policy, and Codes of Conduct must adhere to these policies throughout the competition. These policies and related resources are available on USA Fencing's website.

Compliance with policies and procedures adopted by USA Fencing in response to COVID-19 is mandatory.

In addition to USA Fencing's Local Tournament Procedures, we will be enforcing the following COVID-19 protocols:

Cost: $30 for each event, $50 for two events, $60 for three events.

Please pay in cash at registration on the day of the tournament.

For a discounted rate, reach out to mufencing@miamioh.edu if you can bring scoring equipment to the tournament.

8:00 am - Venue Opens

8:30 am - Check-In Begins

9:00 am - Mixed Foil Registration Closes

11:30 am - Mixed Sabre Registration Closes

2:00 pm - Mixed Epee Registration Closes

Equipment Check: Mask and glove will be inspected, and the mask will be subjected to a standard punch test. Masks and gloves that fail the inspection or do not bear the armorer's inspection mark cannot be used in the competition.

Changing Facilities: Locker rooms will be available throughout the event.

Sanctioning Authority: Southwest Ohio Division of USA Fencing

*Concessions will not be available, but there are water fountains at the venue.
