BCAF-W - Y-12 & Y-14 Mixed Foil

This event is sanctioned by USA Fencing's Philadelphia Division. Medals and classifications (if applicable) will be awarded for events with (6) or more participants (4 for youth events).

Age groups are as follows:

Y-12 fencers are birth years 2011 - 2014

Y-14 fencers are birth years 2009 - 2012

Use the link in your confirmation e-mail or write to the organizers to delete your pre-registration if you do not plan to attend this event.

Event organizers NEED to have a fairly accurate head-count in order to hire the appropriate number of referees. If we over-hire, the club loses a lot of money. If we under-hire, the fencers will have long waits and a bad experience. We don't want either of these to happen.

You may compete in two events in one day IF the check-in times are staggered.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT will be at the discretion of the meet manager and announced prior to the start of the event. If separate men's and women's events are scheduled, they may be combined if there are fewer than six fencers in either event. Events may be combined by unanimous vote if there are 6 - 14 fencers in either event.

BCAF - West Waiting-list policy:

If registration is full, send the organizer an email (debbie@bcaf.com) with your name, club, and member number. You will be put on the waiting list and notified by a confirmation e-mail from askFRED if space opens up. If you do not yet have an account with askFRED, please create one, so that the organizer can add you manually. Maximum numbers may be adjusted to accommodate as many fencers as possible without double-flighting.

All USA Fencing rules, including those pertaining to attire and equipment will be enforced. There are NO exceptions.

PLEASE NOTE: As of Aug 1, 2018, all FOIL fencers who wear a rigid chest protector (some men, and ALL women) will need to wear the new PADDED design. The chest protector will also need to be worn UNDER the plastron.

Pizza will be brought in for lunch at $3/slice. Please bring your own water bottle to refill from our water cooler.

FYI, we have an armory bench at which you may fix your own equipment.  We do not have equipment, parts, or clothing to lend or sell.  You are responsible for your own kit.

* 309 traffic can be busy so leave enough travel time.

* You can park anywhere in the 309 Office Furniture lot (front/left side/behind). Additional parking is available in the lot to the right of the building in front of the Home Furnishings store.

* Our entrance is on the far left of the building. Look for our sign!

* There is a full flight of stairs to climb up to the fencing room on the second floor & it is not handicapped accessible.

* It's ~4 miles from the Montgomery Mall & about 1/2 mile past the WALMART shopping plaza.
