Competitive Fencing Camp with Foil Master Yury Molchan OLY, Epee National Team Assistant Coach Yasmany Diaz Hernandez, Hossam Mahmoud, Samantha Alkadi, Rhonda Trietsch
The FIT Competitive Fencing Camp at Austin College in Sherman, Texas, provides a unique environment away from all distractions. Fencers will have cross-training in track and swimming, and will enjoy soccer and ultimate frisbee for strength and conditioning along with three sessions of fencing training (morning, afternoon and evening). Fencers and coaches will stay in the dorms and share three meals a day in the college cafeteria. The cafeteria serves halal and kosher foods and will meet all other reasonable allergy restricted diets.
Olympian Yury Molchan will lead the foil training, assisted by Coach Samantha Alkadi. Coach Sam will be with the women's group 24/7. Paul Lewis, foil, fresh from his Hong Kong World Cup, will be in attendance and also assist with the foil group. Egyptian National Epee Team member, Hossam Mahmoud, and US National Epee Team Traveling Coach, Yazmany Diaz Hernandez, will be working in tandem to train the epee fencers.
